International Harvester was really on to something quite a few years ago, when it decided that farmers weren't the only guys that liked riding around on tractors. Or, maybe it was just a lot of farmers were moving into the city, but couldn't really leave thoughts of the farm, back on the farm. Either way, to this day the home and garden lawn tractor is a popular choice for anyone with a lawn space bigger than a putting green.
While there are many owners, that swear that the best Cubs to get where those built prior to 1981 when IH sold the brand to the MTD corporation. MTD retained the name, and continues to this day, to manufacture tractors, mowers, snow throwers, all purpose tractors, and zero turning riding mowers all under the brand name of Cub Cadet.

While my yard would barely justify having one of these mowers, I do think they would be nice to have. I've seen one of the lawn services in the neighbourhood, that uses one of the Cub Cadet mowers to do different homes around the block. They're also great for snow removal as well. You'll have to get one of the all purpose mowers, and an snow thrower, or blade attachment.
I'm pretty sure I'd be quite popular in the neighbourhood, with a machine like that. Especially after the winter we just had. If a brand new Cub is out of your budget, then you should be able to find some good used ones online. Yes, it's true, you can buy just about anything on the internet. With everybody looking to save money these days, it's often the best way to save as well.
